Male virility in bed is usually evidenced by long lasting erections. But not always men can have an erection even after doing foreplay activities. This condition is called by the name of erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction can be caused by various things.
A new study published in the Journal of Clinical Neurology reveals that erectile dysfunction may indicate men have serious brain health conditions.
This study states the penis of a man who can not erect is a warning sign of Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's is a neurological disease that can cause tremor ie motor problems so the body is lacking balance and coordination.
The researchers analyzed more than 3,000 men, who in the past seven years were diagnosed with erectile dysfunction. The researchers also looked at 12,000 men who did not experience problems with erections. From the results of the study found 52% of men who experience erectile dysfunction more at risk of developing Parkinson's disease.
In addition, there are other conditions that make the relationship of erectile dysfunction and Parkinson's disease get stronger. For example, if a man with erectile dysfunction is also diagnosed with diabetes then he is three times more likely to develop Parkinson's disease than healthy men. In other words, the condition of the penis not only shows a man's sexual health but can be an indicator of serious health problems.
That's because the erection function is controlled by the autonomic nerves of the body. The workings of this system is to enlarge the blood vessels in men when aroused which then cause an erection. If the system is problematic then it can lead to erectile dysfunction.
In addition, the study authors also remind men who have low testosterone to be more careful. Because low testosterone also has the potential to make a man experience erectile dysfunction, so have the possibility of Parkinson's.
So if a man has erectile dysfunction problems it's worth checking his medical condition immediately to the doctor. That way doctors can better ensure the actual health condition. Because, 75% of men who have problems with his penis prefer to use drugs in the market to make it stronger than a doctor checked. As reported by the Daily Star, Monday (07/08/2017).
